Nursery Retail Customer Service Representative
Location: Tyler, TX
Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Position Summary:
Breedlove Landscape Company is seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, dependable, and customer-focused Nursery Retail Customer Service Representative to provide an exceptional experience for customers visiting our nursery.
This position is responsible for greeting and assisting customers, helping customers select plants and nursery products, answering questions about plant care, processing sales, maintaining attractive and healthy plant displays, and keeping the nursery organized and inviting.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with people and plants, has a genuine interest in horticulture and gardening, communicates well, and takes pride in providing knowledgeable and professional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and provide friendly, professional service.
- Assist customers in selecting plants, trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and other nursery products.
- Answer customer questions regarding plant selection, planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and general plant care.
- Help customers choose plants appropriate for their specific landscape conditions and needs.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations while recognizing when questions should be referred to nursery management or a horticulture specialist.
- Maintain attractive, clean, organized, and properly labeled plant displays.
- Monitor plants for watering needs, pests, disease, damage, and overall health.
- Water, groom, prune, fertilize, rotate, and maintain nursery inventory as directed.
- Assist with receiving and unloading new plant material and merchandise.
- Organize plants and products according to company standards.
- Accurately process customer purchases using the point-of-sale system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other transactions according to company procedures.
- Prepare customer orders and assist with loading plants and nursery products safely.
- Assist with special orders and communicate product availability to customers.
- Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate pricing, product information, and signage.
- Assist with inventory counts and communicate damaged, missing, or low-stock products to management.
- Maintain clean and presentable customer areas, sales areas, and nursery grounds.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward a positive resolution.
- Promote additional products and services when appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with homeowners, contractors, landscapers, and gardening customers.
- Follow all company safety, customer service, cash-handling, and nursery procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous nursery, garden center, retail, customer service, landscaping, or horticulture experience preferred.
- Knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, and basic horticultural practices preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, professional, and approachable personality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn Breedlove Landscape Company's plant inventory and product offerings.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and load plants and nursery products as required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Horticulture, nursery management, or related education is a plus.

Physical & Work Environment:
- This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in a nursery retail environment. Employees may be exposed to heat, cold, rain, humidity, dust, soil, and other outdoor conditions.
- The position requires frequent standing and walking and may require bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and loading plants and nursery materials

Landscape Maintenance Customer Service Representative

Position Summary:
Breedlove Landscape Company is seeking a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Landscape Maintenance Customer Service Representative to serve as a key point of contact between our customers and field operations team. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating service requests, communicating schedules and updates, and helping ensure that landscape maintenance services are completed efficiently and to the customer's satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is professional, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where customer needs and field priorities can change throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for landscape maintenance customers.
- Answer customer calls, emails, and service inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, cleanups, irrigation repairs, enhancements, and other service requests.
- Communicate customer requests and concerns clearly to field supervisors and maintenance crews.
- Follow up with customers to ensure issues have been resolved and expectations have been met.
- Monitor daily schedules and help coordinate changes, weather delays, access issues, and special requests.
- Enter and maintain accurate customer information, work orders, notes, and service records.
- Prepare and communicate estimates or service proposals as needed.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and communicate them to customers or the sales team.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and work toward timely resolutions.
- Assist with route and crew coordination to maximize efficiency.
- Track outstanding service requests and ensure they are completed and properly documented.
- Work closely with operations, maintenance crews, irrigation technicians, sales, and management.

Qualifications:
- Previous customer service, landscaping, property management, or related experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
